This was a great buy. Normally I would not even consider a chromebook as a serious "computer" but the spin 713 has changed that for me. And, at such a great price, the the i5 processor and intel graphics makes this a chrome OS laptop that can do 99% of the things i need to get done for both work and home. The Microsoft apps (word/excel/ppt) all installed and ran flawlessly, unless you are an advance or expert MS excel or word user the Microsoft apps include all basic and intermediate functions which should be enough for 95% of the folks out there. Im an engineer and have been using this as my "go to" computer and haven't had to open my company supplied Dell Precision (5550), except for some solidworks drawings. Overall very satisfied with spin 713.

Definitely a premium Chromebook, overall a fine, solid, highly usable convertible. The 3:2 display aspect takes some getting used to, but the clarity and brightness of the display are impressive. And 3:2 is great for displaying and editing photos. I'm less impressed with the keyboard action, which is mediocre, and with the audio and speaker quality, likewise mediocre and somewhat anemic—not what I'd hope for from a premium device. There's also an annoying intermittent video jitter. Chrome OS tablet mode continues to improve, and the Acer Spin 713 makes the best of what it offers. It's not quite what you want from a tablet, but I continue to make use of it, mostly for reading, in spite of annoying design deficiencies like controls that are too small for consistent results: closing browser tabs comes to mind as an example. In short, the Spin 713 is an impressive, highly functional Chromebook, albeit with a few notable shortcomings.Read full review

FRANKLY surprised at how good it is, I'm sure the intel processor has a lot to do with this and it's a great choice by Acer. also much, much better build and design quality than a previous Acer I have. I mean, I'm running a 1GB Asus WIFI 6 AX router, and this thing is running an AX wifi chip. Any issue I have had initially has been with Chrome OS, not the Acer machine. I bought this "refurbished" for $347 on eBay, and I believe I have a new machine. The only "tell" about any repair is a sticky protective tape on the left hinge, suggesting the screen may have been replaced.

I really like this chromebook! My only complaints would be: (1) the speakers don’t get very loud. (There is a chrome extension you can get to override the max volume (see youtube) but only on chrome. (2) if you’re using zoom a lot, the chrome book only runs a limited version of zoom that is missing a lot of features and only shows 16ppl per page. Things I like: Awesome hardware-military grade durability. Gorilla glass, drop resistant, etc. Just feels solid Runs very cool, barely gets warm Nice 2K resolution at a low price. 3:2 ratio makes it feel bigger than most 13in screens. Love the 2 in 1 design and touch screen. Awesome ports, with a usb 2.0 and two usb c, hdmi, micro sd. Runs and multitasks super fast. Track pad is very nice, backlit keyboard Very good value for the money. Read full review

Great product. Did have one Android app that did not function well on this unit, but probably not a function of the unit but Chrome OS. Great screen and battery life. I'm using it as a tablet to display sheet music full size. The 3:2 screen aspect ratio makes this possible. Most notebooks are 16:9 which is too skinny when you flip the vertically. It works well with SongBook Pro. Also bought a stylus which is great for marking up the music. Totally satisfied with this purchase. Unit looked brand new.
